Celebrating Chinese New Year together again
Colourful, fun and together.
That was how Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) International School celebrated Chinese New Year this year.
A year after celebrating it ‘virtually’, the scholars were back in school, enjoying each other’s company.
The scholars had earlier worked on some arts and crafts projects, and had hung them around the school.
There were also some performances to celebrate the occasion.
The primary school scholars sang a Chinese New Year song for their coaches.
Over at the secondary campus, scholars also performed Chinese New Year songs and dances, while the Year 7 scholars turned their desks into drums for the Lion Dance performance.
The Year 11 scholars greeted their coaches in Mandarin, with traditional messages, and presented them with cookies and ang pow.
Meanwhile, some recited a poem about the Chinese New Year.
