Dr Shepherdson – an example for all at GOTS International School
Low Lay Har usually works in the background, ensuring everything runs smoothly at Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) International School.
But she cannot help but reveal her amazement of fellow co-founder Dr Veronica Shepherdson, who recently received her postgraduate academic degree from the International University of Entreprenology.
“I am extremely proud and happy of her achievement. I am so grateful to have Dr Shepherdson as a lifelong friend and business partner,” said Low.
“It was not easy for her to achieve her PhD as she had to take care of the school operations, academics, sales and marketing.
“She is a devoted mother and wife, rescues stray dogs and runs at least 7km each morning.
“At times, I wonder how she finds the time to do all that and study simultaneously.”
Low said Dr Shepherdson is a determined person who is constantly challenging herself to reach new achievements.
“She is an athlete, a musician, dancer, sign language practitioner, excels in handicraft, cooks really well, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) master, and now has a PhD in entrepreneurship. There is nothing she cannot do!” said an admiring Low.
Like Dr Shepherdson, Low has been instrumental in the growth of GOTS International School as they have worked side by side since the school was set up in September 2017.
And she said it was no surprise that Dr Shepherdson did not have any difficulties with her studies as “entrepreneurship was in her blood”.
“The way she handles sales and marketing is like a business analyst,” said Low.
“She can implement business strategies well, is able to handle any situation and is quick to come up with ideas.
“She is an intelligent student who can catch the critical points and implement what she learned to create value.
“Dr Shepherdson is indeed a good example for all of us at GOTS International School.”
The president and programme development specialist of the International University of Entreprenology, Dr James A. Omps and Dr Pauline Crawford sent a video message to congratulate Dr Shepherdson.
“Not only are you a Doctor of Philosophy in the field of entrepreneurship, but we are also proud to have you as a member of the adjunct faculty of the International University of Entrepreneurology,” said Dr Omps.
“We see you as a role model as you have risen to the top of your profession. We will always cite you as the model for education in your area of expertise.”
Dr Crawford said: “Congratulations on everything that you have achieved in your lifetime and during your time with us.
“We got to know you, and understand what you do, and that you are absolutely an entrepreneurologists.
“In our vision of expanding the university’s scope of education for not only the kids in your school but young, mature people across the world, we see you as a leading educationalist.
“We hope to continue that journey with you.”
