Unearthing more GOTS International School talent!
We know we have a talented bunch studying at Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) International School.
Among them are a national ice skater, an award-winning dancer, talented musicians, and even a mixed martial arts exponent.
Such diverse talent prompted us to organise a Talentime contest last month when we were on our mid-term break.
We are pleased with the feedback, as we received so many wonderful entries which captivated us.
After an exciting public vote, we are pleased to announce our winners.
In the primary category, first place went to Darsnika Mathanaseelan (ukulele, Year 3), followed by Oviya Sargunan (storytelling, Year 3) and Darlene Grace Lopez (piano and poem recitation in French and Mandarin, Year 3).
For the secondary category, the winners were Sachil Asheer (singing, Year 9), followed by Riyaa Reuban (traditional Indian dance, Year 7) and Keshhav Parthiban (guitar, Year 7).
The winners of both categories received GOTS vouchers worth RM200, RM150 and RM100 that they may set off with the school fees or uniform fees.
“I would like to say a big thank you to the participants and their family members who have put in a tremendous effort in helping their children to star in, and produce such quality videos,” said GOTS International School co-founder Veronica Shepherdson.
“By having this competition, we have uncovered many hidden gems within our school. We are also so proud to say GOTS International School has a treasure trove of talented students.”

Besides the Talentime contest, the school also organised a Hip-hop Dance Workshop-cum-Best Dressed contest, a Science Workshop, Father and Child Look-Alike contest, Catwalk Competition (pre-school), and a Hoodie Design Competition (Years 4-9).
All contests were opened to public voting.
