Memorable virtual graduation ceremony
Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) International School co-founder Veronica Shepherdson is over the moon with the recent virtual graduation ceremony for its pre-primary and Year 6 scholars.
The event was put together after the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor was extended.
“We had hoped to have the graduation at our school but it was not to be.
“The team then worked hard to put the graduation together for a virtual experience.
“The coaches made montages of the scholars and the parents helped by recording their children’s messages,” said Shepherdson.
“The performances of the scholars were really amazing.”
She said watching the graduation ceremony was quite emotional for her as it showed how much progress the scholars have made during their time at GOTS.
“I’m so impressed by all of them. Every one of the scholars articulated their message so well,” said Shepherdson.
“The little ones got their message across – even those in their baby-like voices.”
Shepherdson said one reason why GOTS managed to organise the virtual graduation was that everyone treats each other like family.
“At GOTS, we treat everyone like family – from the coaches to GOTS ambassadors, to scholars and their parents,” she said.
“That is the secret of our success.”
