10 Aug Online PE
We spend hours sitting in front of our devices – computers, laptops, tablets, or mobile phones. And, we are usually cooped up inside a room.
It can be challenging for young children to be motivated about exercise, but we are glad to say, scholars at Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) International School, look forward to their online physical education classes conducted by PE coach Mohd Ruszaiman Mohd Idrus.
Mohd Ruszaiman holds a D Coaching Licence from the Football Association of Malaysia, as well as other athletics, fitness and sports management certificates.
Here are what some of our scholars had to say:
It is fun, since we still do regular physical exercises, such as planking. We try to make the most of what we can during the pandemic. – Malcolm John Solibun (Year 10)
The coach has different activities every week. It’s boring staying at home because of quarantine, so it’s good to have PE classes for an hour each week. – Muhammad Imran Awan Mohamed Yasser Awan (Year 8)
Even though we are online, the classes are a great way to help maintain our physical health. – Naomi Shalom Murphy – (Year 7+)
The classes teach me self-discipline because it makes me take the initiative to exercise in the mornings and evenings. I have learnt the importance of humility and to accept my limits and capabilities. – Mihirraj Singh Aujle (Year 6)
PE helps me concentrate, and there has been an improvement in my academic performance. The classes also reduce the disappointment of not going to school and keep me active. – Havishaa Sureendhran (Year 6)
Coach Man is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. He focuses on everyone and corrects us when we are wrong. – Dareshanan Sureendhran (Year 4)
