New competition to keep GOTS International School scholars busy
Our mid-term break is upon us, and to keep our scholars occupied, we have a fun activity lined up.
While we may not have had our annual sports carnival, that doesn’t mean we still can’t have any fun sporting activities.
We want our scholars to design new logos, names and cheers for our four Sports Houses!
The primary category is opened to those in Years 5 and 6, while the secondary, is from Years 7-10.
“We have four Sports Houses – Yellow, Green, Blue and Lilac. It is time we updated them,” said co-founder Veronica Shepherdson.
“We will still retain the colours, but we want scholars to be creative in coming up with names for each house and to create distinctive logos for each of them.
“The cheer should be consistent with the new Sports House name and logo. It should be super fun, exciting, inspiring and entertaining!”
Shepherdson said that previously, each Sports House would create a new cheer before the annual sports carnival.
However, Shepherdson said it would be better to have permanent cheers they could use throughout the year.
Shepherdson added that scholars have until Sept 18 to submit the artwork and videos of their cheers to the school.
The mid-term break is from Sept 13-17.
