Teachers Day

Teachers Day is celebrated on different days around the world but in Malaysia it falls on May 16 each year.

This is to commemorate the date the Razak Report was endorsed by the Federal Legislative Assembly of the Federation of Malaya in 1956.

The report provided the framework for the country’s education system and is named after Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, the country’s first Education Minister and later our second prime minister.
