Always close to each other despite being apart, Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) found a way to celebrate a ‘new normal’ Hari Raya last Thursday.
With the Movement Control Order (MCO) which has seen all schools closed, GOTS has been offering online lessons to its scholars.
As such, its coaches and scholars dressed up in traditional costumes and exchanged Hari Raya greetings and wished each other happy holidays online as the international school’s first term ended on Friday.
“Although we couldn’t be together, we wanted to have a celebration online and got the scholars to dress up,” said co-founder Veronica Shepherdson.
“I’ve missed seeing and interacting with all of them.”
She hoped it would be safe to reopen schools once the one-month holidays end.
